Obama Gets His Cake Defames America, Eats It, Too
Via Reuters...
This one has a lot of folks scratching their heads. Fear not, friends. This is a classic Obama-esque pivot.
Obama is trying to convince you he cares about America sooo much that he will fight to prevent the release of photos of supposed detainee abuse. But...let's not forget that it was Obama who (incorrectly) raised the alarm about abuse in the first place.
He's made it a foregone conclusion that detainee abuse has occurred. By referencing these images, he implies that they exist. He implies they are so bad that releasing them would foment anti-American hatred. He is basically declaring "I decided America tortured, and you don't need any evidence."
By not releasing these photos, he prods the imagination of every lefty and terrorist to dream up their own version of how EVIL the Bush administration is.
Obama encourages a natural reaction to demand the release of said photos. After all, when accused of a crime, who doesn't want to see the evidence against them? But to react this way is to fall into the trap Obama has set for you. The trap that tries to depict Obama as the protector, and you as the person who wants to defame the United States.
The trap, however, is very easy to avoid. Just remember it was Obama who started this fiasco by accusing the USA of torture and releasing national secrets for political gain. Regardless of whether the photos are released, Obama has already fomented anti-American hatred.
He's trying to get his cake -- defame the USA by accusing it of torture -- and eating it, too -- appearing to protect the nation by preventing the release of these photos.
Obama is dangerous indeed. He's endangering the nation while posturing as its protector.

Here is an email i sent out tonight to folks i know (sunday 5-17-2009) in response to the above article. sorry i get a bit carried away, but after all, we are talking about America.
Title: Obama the (political) snake
I have for at least 5 minutes since President Obama was elected, been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but now all i have is faith but not in him.
But take a look, see the pasted text below (link above). Read it, you will know he is a snake. Please disregard his color, after all he is only about 8% .... black, about 60% Arab and the rest white boy. He is likeable but gets confused reading his lines but the question is which member of the CFR, Illuminati is pulling his strings? The really dangerous part, is he is cutting his strings and may stray from the master puppeteer's control. When this happens, his true colors will be shown to all, but they most certainly will not be Red White and Blue.
One of the most dangerous parts now, there is a bill in the house House Resolution 2159. It will give power Zeich Hiel to Der Uber Fuehrer or the Attorney General to declare dangerous terrorists or "suspected" "right wing extremists" (which means Terrorist), to declare they cannot own a weapon, cannot sell them nor give them away. The bill is aimed at the American citizen by definition which is the only possible target. It is becoming more clear to Americans that this government has declared war against it's own citizens. This can be shown in the laws that have been passed starting 2 years ago (i am referencing my limited knowledge), and this next revolution has been prompted and caused by Washington, not us the little guy. We will fight if necessary, but only when pushed against the bridge at Concord of years past and only after it is clear to many whom the real Terrorists are. The Neo Boyscouts are on the lookout. How i love the "Chicago Typewriter".
There are several principles i have learned over the past 2 years. One, only big Governments start revolts, forcing the little people to stand up to the giant. I wish i was wrong, but the force of history, and what i understand is too far beyond my control for me to deny it's basic truth. Two, in 1774, the first revolt against Tyranny had already taken on a life of it's own on our shores. We were colonies of the crown but in name only, as such that the King had declared it so, is only in his imagination as Thomas Pain in "Common Sense" wrote shortly after the shot was heard around the world; especially elsewhere in the British Empire. Note some of my research only showes British "Lobsterbacks" invaded Boston in 1758; [setting up a military state]. It took many years to foster violence but it is enevitable and it will happen again. You can be sure Obama, studied the Civil War President for this reason alone the day after his election was solidified. My readings in Amreican history show we were never part of the crown, so the revolution was not a Civil war since the two governments were not connected, except perhaps by the (insane) proclimations of the King. The "war of independence" is a problematic term, except after "we" were invaded is when it becomes a reasonable expression.
You must ask yourself a primary question: If we were colonies of the Crown, why didn't they have troops stationed in the 13 colonies? Why were there no forts except for 9 in the most extreme parts of northern New York, +1 across the river in Quebec? These forts remained even after the Treaty of Paris at the close of the Revolution, even though the British agreed to remove them. You must also ask yourself another question: why does this government continue to turn to Tyranny? This wording is intentional, as Tyranny is not just an idea, it is a spirit, just as Liberty comes from God, so Tyranny comes from the evil one. So the lines are drawn and the guns are being kocked. So let it be. One more round for history and the graves. For the famous words are oft repeated "from time to time the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants it is an natural manure".
History is very important. History has shown Britain and others that "those pesky Americans" (my trans-bastardization) as they called us have a liberty card up their sleeve that comes out of the hand of our sovereign Lord that created America to be light to the world; this is proven enough for my satisfaction in the book "The Light and the Glory" (about 1984).
The slogan for today, which i am repeating here is the "Answer for 1984 is 1776".
