Specter Switch Highlights Strong Conservative Movement
Be warned. The left is going to depict Arlen Specter's not-so-surprising shift to the Democrat party as evidence of a dead Republican party. ...but that couldn't be farther from the truth.
The truth is that over the past few months, Arlen Specter has all but declared his allegiance to Big Government. By voting for the stimulus bill and every other liberal canard to come along, he is, in practice, a Democrat.
He's compelled to switch parties because his chances for re-election as a Republican are toast.
By holding our Tea Party protests, we've made a declaration. We've declared we're fed up, and we're not gonna take it anymore. We've declared we will not accept our representatives choosing Government over the People. We've declared for every politician, if you choose the chains of Liberalism over the freedom of Conservatism, your days are numbered.
That Arlen Specter has to switch parties to maintain viability proves the Republican party is coming back home. The Conservative base is stronger than ever.
2010 will be banner year for Conservatism. We demand it!
