Caterpillar To Lay Off 2,454 Workers

Obama's folly has come full circle. He angrily declared in February that congress must pass his stimulus bill, lest workers at Caterpillar be laid off. AP writes today...

Caterpillar Inc. on Tuesday announced plans to lay off more than 2,400 employees at five plants in Illinois, Indiana and Georgia as the heavy equipment maker continues to cut costs amid the global economic downturn.

In a bizarre twist of fate, the majority of the layoffs will occur in Obama's home state...

Among the affected workers are 1,726 people at plants in Illinois.

Stimulus? What stimulus?

Watch out, America. Obama is likely to claim either the stimulus didn't come fast enough, or was too limited in scope.
