The Light, the Word, the Truth
Sometimes it's referred to as the Light, the Word, the Truth.
Even in Jesus' time, people demanded proof that he was who he claimed to be. They demanded he perform miracles so that the Truth would be easy to see; to accept.
This is exactly what prompted the statement that he would "destroy this temple and raise it in three days."
Those who heard the statement rebuffed Jesus insisting it took forty-six years build the temple. It would be impossible for one man to raise it in three days.
Three days after the crucifixion, Jesus was raised from the dead.
Those who heard in him in the temple recalled what he said, and understood. The temple he spoke of was his own body.
How slow we are to understand. To believe. To faith.
The Light, the Word, the Truth...It's understanding. It's believing. It's faith.
...
Let us be not slow to understand, to believe, to faith.
