Are We Obligated To Go Along?
I often wonder, when watching the insanity that is American politics, whether I am truly obligated to go along. Every day I watch irresponsible and wasteful use of my money. Money that, had I been left to spend myself, would've been put to much more worthwhile use. In fact, in nearly every case, had I been allowed to keep that money, my choices to spend freely would've resulted in greater benefit for my community than government is able to achieve.
Doesn't it irk you when the government dictates you must tolerate the misbehavior of others? Isn't it wrong that, despite your ardent belief that abortion is murder, you are required, as a taxpayer of the United States, to support it?
Why?
What responsibility does government have to obligate us to support anything? Where in the Constitution does it say it's the responsibility of the federal government to financially support any activity?
I'm not even arguing those activities should be illegal. I'm merely asking why money has to be taken from me and sent to a so-called doctor to suck a baby into a sink. ...or to a failing auto company. ...or to a failing bank. ...or to a failing state government.
I don't agree with supporting any of these things. So why must I support them?
Is it my duty as a citizen to financially support things I believe are the antithesis of a mature, Free society? I don't believe so. Rather, I believe it's the duty of government to protect me from such thievery.
So what do we do when government that was constructed to protect us becomes the very thing we must be protected from? Must we resist and agitate as to risk our lives and property? Must we risk jail for not going along?
I believe we do.
As difficult as that sounds, it's true. After all, what good are your life and property if they are the controlled and dispensed at the pleasure of government?

Obama Gets His Cake Defames America, Eats It, Too
Via Reuters...
This one has a lot of folks scratching their heads. Fear not, friends. This is a classic Obama-esque pivot.
Obama is trying to convince you he cares about America sooo much that he will fight to prevent the release of photos of supposed detainee abuse. But...let's not forget that it was Obama who (incorrectly) raised the alarm about abuse in the first place.
He's made it a foregone conclusion that detainee abuse has occurred. By referencing these images, he implies that they exist. He implies they are so bad that releasing them would foment anti-American hatred. He is basically declaring "I decided America tortured, and you don't need any evidence."
By not releasing these photos, he prods the imagination of every lefty and terrorist to dream up their own version of how EVIL the Bush administration is.
Obama encourages a natural reaction to demand the release of said photos. After all, when accused of a crime, who doesn't want to see the evidence against them? But to react this way is to fall into the trap Obama has set for you. The trap that tries to depict Obama as the protector, and you as the person who wants to defame the United States.
The trap, however, is very easy to avoid. Just remember it was Obama who started this fiasco by accusing the USA of torture and releasing national secrets for political gain. Regardless of whether the photos are released, Obama has already fomented anti-American hatred.
He's trying to get his cake -- defame the USA by accusing it of torture -- and eating it, too -- appearing to protect the nation by preventing the release of these photos.
Obama is dangerous indeed. He's endangering the nation while posturing as its protector.

Now I, Too, Am A Drug Addict
...because I eat Cheerios...
Current boxes of Cheerios are touting what the company calls exciting news -- the cereal's ability to help lower cholesterol 10 percent in one month.
"My mother actually eats it every day, seven days a week for breakfast to lower her cholesterol," Staten Island resident Lauren Schwam said.
According to a letter from the FDA General Mills' advertising violates the federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The agency said claims that Cheerios ingredients can lower cholesterol within a certain amount of time, all while providing cancer-fighting and heart-healthy benefits, essentially makes Cheerios "a drug" by their definition. And no drug in this country can be legally marketed without an approved new drug application.

I guess I'm going to have to start buying my breakfast cereal from this guy...

Wanda Sykes, Kinda Slow
I seem to recall that when George Bush was in office, the comedians at the White House correspondent's dinner made fun of him.
...but when Obama's in office, they make fun of his critics.
Wanda Sykes is a disgrace. For a cheap joke, she slanders Mr. Limbaugh and Barry-O yucks it up.
Wanda Sykes must be mentally retarded, because Rush explained the exact opposite of what she said. As Rush explained, Obama's policies are harmful for the country. When Obama increases taxes on employers -- the villified $250k and above -- they are less able to hire. Less hiring = fewer jobs. It's 1 + 1 = 2, and she missed it.

Obama To Double Income Tax Collections
In another focus on the grab-bag that is Obama's federal budget, we find Obama planning to double income tax collections over the next eight years.
Here it is, from the pin-the-tail-on-the-Democrat Summary Tables...

That's right, party-goers! Income tax collections will rise from $972 Million in 2009 to $1.888 Trillion in eight years. Give him another two years, and government breaks the tax collection bank at over $2 Trillion.
That makes for a pretty steep buzz.

Man, the hangover's gonna suck.

Obama Is A Self-Described Embarrassment
Via Breitbart. Obama el no habla...
"Welcome to Cinco de Cuatro—Cinco de Mayo at the White House," said Obama, in what appeared to be an attempt to note they were celebrating on the fourth of May instead of the fifth.
Cinco de cuatro means "five of four" in Spanish.
"We are a day early, but we always like to get a head start here at the Obama White House," he said.
During the presidential campaign, Obama acknowledged his Spanish skills weren't great.
"My accent's always been good," he said. "It's just that I only know 15 words."
...but remember this?
So either Obama feels French is somehow superior to Spanish, or he's a self described embarassment.

MSM Please Ask Obama The Definition Of Torture
Last night, in Obama's honor-thy-self press conference, he declared waterboarding is torture.
Would someone please ask Mr. Obama how he defines torture? What is it, and what is it not?
Is spraying someone with cold water torture?
Is making someone listen to Britney Spears torture?
Is making someone listen to Ronald Reagan speeches torture?
Please. Ask him!

We Are Under Mob Rule
ABC has outted two men who supposedly directed the interrogations that Barack Obama now calls torture.
Emboldened by a President more than happy to destroy national security for political gain, ABC has seen fit to publicly impugn the men directly responsible for protecting the nation.
Bye bye, America. You were glorious when your people stood together in defense of Liberty. Now that your fighting men can count on being attacked at home, who will stand to defend you?
The Republic no longer exists.
